The founding principles of the company are best advice and independence. These principles form the basis for our development plans and enable us to continue adapting our services to customers needs and changing environmental drivers, rather than simply delivering the same set of services. Our business model allows time for market research, intelligence gathering and product development.
At Jermyn Consulting we do not have a team of consultants who are "jack of all trades" following a rigid process. Through our recruitment policies we employ consultants with a wide range of skills and knowledge who work as a team to identify and solve problems for our clients. Our consultants' backgrounds include auditing, emergency services, risk management, insurance, IT service management, IT outsourcing, data storage management, applications and software development, armed forces, project management, operational management as well as consulting services.
An effective system of performance management and personal development ensures that all consultants are tasked with and contribute to the development of innovative products.
Combining our strategy and people, our services are constantly changing to adapt to the new situations and requirements. For example, we anticipated the likelihood of terrorist attacks on major commercial centres and developed a variety of solutions to enable our clients to rapidly communicate with stakeholders during an emergency. These included staff help lines and web-based information sites. Clients who deployed these solutions following the events of 7th July 2005 have praised their effectiveness.
We constantly improve and adapt the services we offer customers to validate business continuity arrangements. The tests and exercises we are involved in take account of up to date developments within the client organisation and the external environment.
All employees in Jermyn Consulting participate in research and intelligence gathering. We conduct regular brainstorming meetings to anticipate upcoming issues and threats and, where appropriate, we develop products and services to address these. For all major emergencies (whether affecting our clients or not) we conduct post-incident reviews to identify lessons to be learned and remedial actions to be taken. Our consultants are involved in a range of Study Groups, Special Interest Groups and Consultations. We have contributed to all major initiatives in the field of standards and best-practices.
We are members (individually or corporately) of relevant bodies and associations such as the Business Continuity Institute, Chartered Insurance Institute, Emergency Planning Society, IT Service Management Forum. We are happy to share our research with our clients.
